Despite difficult economic conditions for much of the construction industry last year, Durango Custom Works managed to increase its sales by over 37% in 2008. While our new construction work has been diminished due to the recent housing slump, we have made up for sales with some larger remodels completed during this past year, including reviving a 132 year-old house on East 3rd Ave. Check out pictures of this project as well as testimonials from the project owners. We hope you will like our new slideshow format which allows you to stroll through an entire gallery at your own pace with one simple click.

Mariah’s artistic painting business maintained its successful presence in Durango and the Four Corners this year with a special emphasis on Mural work, Venetian Plasters & Commissioned Paintings.

The 2009 construction season is off to a great start with our recent signing of a contract to complete the interior finishes for a 2800 square-foot office suite. We plan to complete the interior finishes on the project within sixty-days.

On the artistic front; we are excited about recent updates to the web site which will hopefully allow us to offer our fine art offerings such as oil portraits, pet portraits, commissioned paintings & murals to a broader audience. Mariah is also planning on attending some additional educational courses in fine art painting this year; we will keep you posted.

Other plans for the New Year include applying for Cost-Containment Certification which will allow us to lower our worker’s compensation costs. These savings can be passed on to you, the customer. It’s part of our on-going commitment to running an effective safety program.
